Effect of a Mindfulness-Based Intervention on Physiological and Psychological Paraments in Pregnant Women in Anuradhapura District, Sri Lanka

Mindfulness is an emerging field of global physical and mental health promotion. This research primarily aims to develop a 6-week mindfulness intervention for pregnant women, implement it, and test its effect on their physiological and psychological parameters.
Buddhist Monastic Practitioners: Health, Nutrition and Spiritual Practice

Buddhist monks/nuns are disallowed under the Buddhist code of monastic discipline to consume solid food after mid-day. This study is aimed at identifying the 'allowed' food items that are capable of substituting solid food after mid-day for monks/nuns receiving treatment for diabetes mellitus, hypercholesterolaemia and/or fatty liver.
Effect of Total Body Fat Percentage and Fat Distribution on Sociodemographic, Anthropometric and Biochemical Parameters of Normal Individuals from Various Occupational Categories

Various physical activity levels are inherent to different occupational categories. This study aims to measure the anthropometric indices and serum cholesterol and fasting blood sugar levels of individuals from several occupational categories and evaluate their correlation with the individuals' body fat percentage and distribution.
