Editorial Policy

  • JoTH follows a double-blind peer review process, ensuring that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous during the review. The review process typically takes three to four weeks. Reviewers are encouraged to provide constructive feedback, even if the manuscript is not deemed suitable for publication in the journal. The editor will make a recommendation for rejection, minor or major revisions, or acceptance based on the reviewer reports. Final editorial decisions are made by the journal’s editors, who are assisted by a qualified editorial board.
  • Authors are required to submit a duly filled author declaration form stating that all authors agreed on the order of the author names, all authors agreed to submit this manuscript to JoTH, the manuscript is currently not under consideration by any other journal, ethics approval for the study, and any conflicts of interests
  • Authors are required to include a statement in the manuscript confirming that ethical clearance was obtained for the research, including approval from an appropriate ethics committee or institutional review board. Additionally, where applicable, authors must confirm that informed consent was obtained from all participants involved in the study, in accordance with ethical guidelines and local regulations.
