The Medical Education Unit was established in 2012 and it functions as a support unit to,
1. Facilitate faculty staff professional development in teaching and learning
2. Act as key advisory role in curriculum development and review
3. Promote research in medical education.
Activities of medical education unit include Curriculum development in health professions, review and evaluation of the MBBS course and providing educational support for staff and students in teaching/ learning, assessment methods and in educational research and research in medical education and related areas.
MEU has many collaborations with local, regional and international medical education. MEU is housed on the second floor of the Para-clinical building. It comprises of a studio, office rooms for academic and non academic staff. MEU is supported by one lecturer and non academic staff member.
