International Public Health and Clinical Clerkship Program

The Faculty of Medicine and Allied Sciences at Rajarata University of Sri Lanka is delighted to announce the commencement of an eight-week Public Health and Clinical Clerkship Program, specifically tailored for international undergraduate and postgraduate students seeking hands-on experience in the fields of public health and clinical medicine within the enchanting landscape of Sri Lanka.

This comprehensive program will be meticulously coordinated by the Department of Community Medicine, a department with a rich history of successfully conducting similar programs in collaboration with Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel.

Eight weeks of rotational appointments for programme ‘A’ and 4 weeks public health appointments for programme ‘B’

Content

Programme ‘A’ (Public Health, Primary care and Clinical – 8 weeks)

  • Four weeks dedicated to Public Health and Primary Care
    • Four weeks offering selected clinical appointments tailored to the students’ interests, including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Paediatrics, and Psychiatry.

Programme ‘B’ (Public Health – 4 weeks)

Programme Dates (First Programme)

Start Date: 7th January 2024

End Date: 1st March 2024

Programme Fee

Cost: 130 USD per week/student

Number of Students per group : 5-6 Students
